Court of the Waters of Valencia<\/h3>\n

The Valencia Water Court meets every Thursday in the Plaza de la Virgen. This Court is the oldest institution of justice in all of Europe, so it is a must for anyone visiting the historic center of Valencia. In addition, the Plaza de la Virgen is impressive.<\/p>\n

Valencia Cathedral<\/h3>\n

Valencia Cathedral stands out for its mixture of architectural styles, which make it a unique building. It is at its gates that the Tribunal de las Aguas, which we have already mentioned in the previous section, meets.<\/p>\n

The Torres de Serranos<\/span><\/h3>\n

The Torres de Serranos is a spectacular monument. They make up one of the two fortified gates of the Valencia wall that are still standing, and they are polygonal towers joined by a central body.<\/p>\n

It is a monument that falls within the Valencian Gothic. A monument worth visiting, because it impresses.<\/p>\n

The Torres de Quart<\/h3>\n

And, after seeing one of the two fortified gates that are still standing, you have to see the other. The Torres de Quart are the pieces that make up that second gate. They have a semi-cylindrical shape and are joined by a central body with a semicircular arch, as was the case in the Torres de Serranos.<\/p>\n

The Miguelete<\/h3>\n

El Miguelete is a massive tower 63 meters high from which, if you climb, you can see all of Valencia. You will have to climb the 207 steps that make up its spiral staircase, but it is worth it. This keep was built in 1381, although the bell dates from 1418.<\/p>\n

Church of San Nicol\u00e1s de Bari and San Pedro M\u00e1rtir de Val\u00e8ncia<\/h3>\n

The Church of San Nicol\u00e1s de Bari and San Pedro M\u00e1rtir is a spectacular church in which you can enjoy like no other 15th-century Gothic church. However, you will not only enjoy the Gothic in this church, but you will also be able to enjoy its Baroque decoration, dating from the 17th century.<\/p>\n

Central Market<\/h3>\n

The Central Market is listed as one of the most beautiful markets in the world. There are almost 400 small traders in the market, making this market the largest center for fresh produce in Europe.<\/p>\n

The Plaza Redonda<\/h3>\n

The Plaza Redonda, also called “Clot”, is a somewhat hidden square, but very beautiful. It was built in 1840 and on its ground floor you can find many small shops. A most curious little square that you will surely love.<\/p>\n

National Museum of Ceramics<\/h3>\n

If you want to spend a relaxed day learning about an industry that is not normally closely associated with Valencia, visiting the National Ceramics Museum is a great idea.<\/p>\n

Town Hall Square<\/h3>\n

The Plaza del Ayuntamiento is also a must see. Its design is spectacular and it is full of good shops where you can shop and restaurants and bars where you can have a drink (although, to eat, we recommend one of the lists that we have prepared for you \u2013 the selection on those lists is much better).<\/p>\n

North Station<\/h3>\n

The Estaci\u00f3n del Norte is the largest railway station in Valencia and every year more than 15 million people pass through it. It’s an impressive and imposing building, so it’s worth a visit, even if you don’t have to do any train travel.<\/p>\n

Bullring<\/h3>\n

The Plaza de Toros de Valencia is a neoclassical building, of simple Doric, with a clear inspiration in Roman civil works. If you want to visit a building that looks like a Coliseum, you cannot miss the Plaza de Toros de Valencia.<\/p>\n

The Mercado de Col\u00f3n<\/h3>\n

The Mercado de Col\u00f3n is a magnificent modernist building, located in what we could call the bourgeois neighborhood. Currently, traditional shops have been replaced by gourmet shops and high-class cafes. But it’s worth stopping by and having a drink.<\/p>\n

The Patriarch National Monument<\/h3>\n

The National Monument Patriarch Museum is a work that dates back to 1556. It is an architectural complex made up of a church and a school. It is full of tile baseboards and frescoes of various kinds, making it artistically impressive.<\/p>\n

It is essential to visit the patio, made up of 85 columns and two really impressive galleries.<\/p>\n

IVAM – Valencian Institute of Modern Art<\/h3>\n

In case you like modern art, visiting the IVAM is a must. This museum has gained quite a bit of prestige for its temporary exhibitions of modern and contemporary art. Again: If you like this type of art, you can’t miss it.<\/p>\n

Bancaja Foundation<\/h3>\n

Finally, we recommend you visit the Bancaja Cultural Center building. It is a beautiful building, which will impress you from the first moment you see it. Also, inside, you can learn about a lot of things. If you like architectural eclecticism, this building is a must see.<\/p>\n
